franco had a good 5-year run in texas starting in 1989, despite missing most of the 1992 season. he amassed a total of 725 hits in 632 games over that stretch, and led the league in batting with a .341 average in 1991. he seemed to play forever, hitting .309 in 125 games as a 45-year old with the braves in 2004. his 2586 career hits put him 79th on the all time list.
voici à vous, 1989 julio franco!
