eddie murray went home for the 1989 season, as the dodgers traded for the la native in december of 1988. here's his 1989 o-pee-chee card
here's the topps front:now the o-pee-chee back:
and the topps back:
murray played for three years in his first tenure in la, bridging the gap between franklin stubbs and eric karros at first base. his second year with the dodgers was his best, as he hit .330 to lead the majors in batting average. strangely, he failed to win a batting title, as willie mcgee's nl average was .335 (but his overall average was just .324 thanks to a poor stint in the al to finish the year).
voici à vous, 1989 eddie murray!
