1982 tom veryzer

tom veryzer was acquired by the mets in january of 1982 for ray searage. here is veryzer's 1982 o-pee-chee car

veryzer had been a shortstop exclusively for the tigers and indians prior to joining the mets. in new york, he would actually play more second base than shortstop, although in a backup and spot-starting role. after just one season with the mets, veryzer was traded to the cubs for a couple of minor leaguers.
