1991 rob deer

rob deer took his mastery of the three true outcomes to detroit when he signed as a free agent prior to the 1991 season. here's his 1991 o-pee-chee card:
here's the topps front:
now the o-pee-chee back:
and the topps back:
he promptly hit 25 home runs, walked 89 times, and led the league with 175 strikeouts, all with a .179 batting average! his batting average rebounded in 1992, as he hit .247 while swatting 32 dingers, walking 51 times and striking out just 131 times. there were a few games in 1991 in which he walked, homered and struck out in the same game, but i didn't see any where that was all he did. he did go 1 for 3 with a homerun and two strikeouts against the blue jays on august 6th and had an 0 for 3 game with 3 k's and 3 walks against the royals on july 19th.
voici à vous, 1991 rob deer!
