1989 wally backman

wally backman was traded from the mets to the twins in december of 1988.  here's his 1989 o-pee-chee card:

backman lasted just one season in minnesota, hitting .231 in 87 games.  he shared time at second base with al newman among others and returned to the national league in 1990 after signing a free agent deal with the pirates.
