dave rader joined the angels in february of 1981. here's his 1981 o-pee-chee card:

you might think that rader was part of the big trades that the red sox and angels pulled off between the 1980 and 1981 seasons that included frank tanana, joe rudi, carney lansford, rick miller, rick burleson, butch hobson, and fred lynn (among others) that were the impetus for a good number of the 1981 o-pee-chee variations, but you would be wrong (like i was). he actually signed with the halos as a free agent, but the angels wound up releasing him in april of '81, before he even appeared in a major league game for them.

I remember this card as a kid. I thought he was really old, but now looking at the back of the card I realize he wasn't. Assuming this picture was taken in 1980, he was 32 years old.
