1980 rick wise

rick wise signed a free agent deal with the padres in november of 1979.  here is his 1980 o-pee-chee card:

wise went 6-8 with a 3.67 era in 27 starts for the pads in 1980.  while he had hit 15 home runs during his first run in the national league, he failed to hit any for the padres in his 2+ seasons in san diego, the last seasons of his career.

wise was traded for two hall of famers in his career - straight up for steve carlton in 1971 and as part of a package for dennis eckersley in 1978.
