ron jackson was traded from the angels to the twins in december of 1978 - not in the rod carew trade, but rather in the dan ford deal. here is his 1979 o-pee-chee card:

jackson had the unenviable task of replacing rod carew at first base for the twins. he did pretty well in 1979, posting career highs in most offensive categories, including home runs and rbi. his first home run as a twin came at the expense of the halos in april of 1979.
the twins eventually traded him to the tigers after 2+ seasons, and jackson eventually returned to the angels for the 1982 season. that year, he hit .331 in a reserve role and helped them to the alcs where he singled in his only plate appearance.
