scott ruskin was traded from the expos to the reds in december of 1991. here is his 1992 o-pee-chee card:
here's the topps front: now the o-pee-chee back:
and the topps back:
ruskin was acquired by the expos along with willie greene and moises alou for zane smith. he was sent to the reds, again being packaged with willie greene, for john wetteland. he went 4-3 for the reds in '92, but his era was over 5.00 and his whip was around 1.50. for all the fuss that the card backs make about ruskin being an outfield prospect prior to switching to pitching, he had only 2 hits and just 16 career plate appearances. both of his hits were for extra bases, and came in 1990. i guess brooks kieshnick he was not.
voici à vous, 1992 scott ruskin!
