dave clark was traded from the indians to the cubs for mitch webster in november of 1989. here is his 1990 o-pee-chee card:

with the cubs, clark settled into a platoon role and pinch-hitting role, getting 35 starts and 46 pinch-hit appearances (dwight smith, who suffered a bit of a sophomore slump, was the primary left fielder). clark wound up hitting .275 with 5 homers (two of which came off of tim belcher in different games) and 20 rbi in 84 total appearances.
in what was hardly a joke, the cubs released him on april 1, 1991. he signed shortly thereafter with the royals, and continued to play in the big leagues for a variety of teams (including the dodgers in 1996) through the 1998 season.
