ron kittle became a free agent after spending the 1988 season with the indians, and he chose to sign a contract with the white sox for the 1989 season. here is his 1989 o-pee-chee card:

in his return to the south side, kittle topped .300 for the first time in his career. granted, he played in only 51 games, but he still managed to hit 11 home runs and post a career high obp of .378. the former dodger farmhand was traded to the orioles during the 1990 season, but returned for a third stint with the white sox for the 1991 campaign which turned out to be his last in the majors.
