driessen had a 1977 season to remember - he hit .300 and set career highs with 91 rbi and 31 stolen bases while hitting 17 home runs. this was after he hit .357 with an ops of 1.152 in the 1976 world series against the yankees. driessen had several more productive years with the reds before he was traded to the expos and subsequently bounced around a bit.
