it wasn't until 1978 that i learned to dislike roy white's baseball talent. that's because he was just 0 for 2 against the dodgers in the 1977 world series, as opposed to the .333 clip he achieved against them during the 1978 fall classic. during the regular season in 1977, white was the yankees' regular left fielder, and he hit .268 with 14 home runs and 18 steals.
