wayne edwards appeared in 13 games for the white sox in 1991, but didn't get a card in topps' 1992 set. here is his 1992 o-pee-chee card:
with the back:
he was 0-2 for the chisox in 1991, and when they tried to outright him to their aaa affiliate in vancouver in march of 1991, edwards chose free agency instead. he wound up signing with the blue jays, but spent the entire 1992 season with their aaa team in syracuse. at least he didn't need a passport.
here's the card edwards bumped from the set, front:
and back:
it was not a sure thing for edwards to get matt nokes out - nokes was 3 for 7 with an rbi and a strikeout against the lefty in his career - but he managed to do it in the 1992 o-pee-chee set.
voici à vous, 1992 wayne edwards!
