1992 hubie brooks

in what must have seemed like a good idea at the time, the angels traded for hubie brooks in december of 1991.  here's his 1992 o-pee-chee card:

i would have thought the halos had learned their lesson regarding the aging veteran after the dave winfield/dave parker fiasco in the 1991 season.  alas, they did not and brooks hit just .216 as the angels' dh in 1992.  they went 70-92 and brooks was on his way to kansas city as a free agent after the season ended.
