sandy alomar jr was traded from the padres to the indians in the deal that sent joe carter to the nl west in december of 1989. here's his 1990 o-pee-chee card:

alomar went on to win the 1990 american league rookie of the year with the indians, and was a fixture behind the plate in cleveland for 11 years. well, maybe 'fixture' is the wrong word since he played in a career high 132 games in 1990, but topped 100 games only 3 other times in his career.
